I really should post more photos…
I’d love to say that I’m going to post a photo every day on here. I watch Trey Ratcliff’s site Stuckincustoms.com and am envious that he manages to post every. Single. Day. It’s sick, really, I mean obviously he’s mental, but he does make some beautiful images, and he does manage to post every day. Color me impressed.
Anyway I won’t say I’ll do the same, ‘cause I know I won’t, but I am going to try to get more photos posted. Instead of posting a gallery of a pile of images once a month (or less…) I’ll try his approach of posting just one or two images at a time. Let’s see if I can get any more going this way.
So in that vein… here we go.
Faces of Vietnam
When I travel to places like Vietnam, there are two things in particular that interest me most photographically—people, and food. People in groups are fine, but when you can get up close and fill the frame with a beautiful face, that’s what makes my shutter-finger happy. Sometimes it’s a longer lens and an unaware subject, as in this photo, and sometimes it’s a fellow who’s grinning ear-to-ear and asking you to take more, more MORE! photos of him. Either way, faces are fantastic.
Some beg to be converted to B&W, some stay in color. Over the next few days I’ll be posting a series of B&W images from Vietnam. Odd perhaps, given that it’s such a brilliantly colorful country, but this is where we’ll begin.
