A short week with the Thanksgiving holiday here, but all that really mean was squeezing five days of work into three!
Panasonic LUMIX Post Focus video
This week was 100% spent on the two Panasonic LUMIX Post Focus videos I'm producing. The first one is complete and in for approval (so I can't post it quite yet), and the second has been shot and will be edited on Monday and Tuesday.
These have been really cool videos to do. The feature itself is just awesome, and coming up with clever ways to show it off and explain it have been a blast. The Focus Stacking video you see being shot above is another use of Post Focus; a little niche, but super cool.
No new lynda.com video?
Perhaps because of the holiday there was no new lynda.com "The DIY Photographer" video released on Friday, so I'll include it in next week's "week in review" post. I don't even know which one is coming next so it's always a fun surprise for me to see them, too!
The week ahead
In the week ahead we'll finish the Panasonic videos, get back on the DxO videos (where we got a week extension to the deadline, thank goodness), and also I need to get back to rewiring my recording studio for live broadcast. Did I mention that I learned you can't split HDMI in a production environment with any expectation of reliability? Something to do with handshaking not being handled well over a splitter. Which explains a lot of the issues I was having. So this means I have to convert to HD SDI, which means a bunch more gear, which is now sitting in boxes waiting to be hooked up. I swear this never ends!
