Happy New Year!
OK it's a little late for that but this is the first "week in review" post of the year. The first week back was nothing to write home about… email, accounting, office work… so I didn't bother to post. The second week was much more exciting though!
Imaging USA
Last Saturday I flew to Atlanta for the Imaging USA conference, again to represent Panasonic. This time the booth was set up with a stage, so some of the Luminary team members could do presentations. I talked about travel photography with the LUMIX cameras, portrait photography and the inherent advantages and disadvantages of both strobe and constant light sources, and also introduced the Beauty After Breast Cancer project, which was very well received.
I presented a couple of shows per day on Sunday and Monday, then flew back home on Tuesday. It was great to be at the show and on stage for Panasonic for a change!
I spent one evening walking down Peachtree St., one of the main avenues, and did a little shooting, too.
New Lynda.com DIY video
Another video for the DIY series was released as well. This tip originally comes from my friend and fellow LUMIX Luminary Giulio Sciorio, and I mod'ed his mod a little bit for this video. Remember these are only free to watch until the next one comes out, but you can sign up at any time and get 10 days free using this link.
Next week…
It's going to be a quiet week. The week after is going to be very cool (tell ya about that later) and Feburary is shaping up to be a little bit insane. But we wouldn't have it any other way!
